GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Europe Ltd. is consortium member of EU External Aid Framework Contract
(No: EuropeAid//119860/C/SV/multi, Lot9)
for September 2005 - September 2007 (with possible extension of two more years).
The geographical area of intervention of EU External Aid:
- the ex-Soviet Union and Mongolia (TACIS);
- the post-Yugoslav republics (Croatia, FYROM, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina) and Albania (CARDS);
- Middle-East (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Turkey, Tunis - MEDA);
- Africa (South-Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, etc. - FED);
- Latin-America (Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Nepal, Uruguay, Venezuela, Argentina, etc.);
- Asian countries (China, Korea, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, etc.);
- the rest of Phare countries (Romania, Bulgaria).
The contractual amount is fixed at the level of each individual assignment and this amount will normally not exceed EUR 200,000. The expected number of assignments is about 50 per year.
The ‘Lot9 - Education, Employment and Social’ covers the following areas:
Education (incl. vocational and higher education, sector analysis and reform);
Labor market and employment (incl. wage policy, social dialogue, employment offices);
Knowledge economy (incl. e-learning, research, innovation, info-communication technology policies);
Social inclusion and protection (incl. social situation and impact analysis, health and accident insurance policy, pension reform).
